Abstract
The main topic of our project is the study of Frobenius manifolds arising as unfoldings of isolated hypersurface singularities and as quantum cohomology of Fano manifolds. Mirror symmetry states that some of these Frobenius structures are equivalent. We plan to extend the known classes of such equivalent Frobenius structures. In particular, we will study semi-simple Frobenius manifolds, the Stokes phenomena, quantum cohomology for orbifolds and the analytic spectrum of a Frobenius manifold. This project is situated between algebraic geometry and singularity theory and has interactions with differential and symplectic geometry and with theoretical physics.
